We can foil stamp solid shapes and lines. Soft edges or gradients cannot be foil stamped. It is generally recommended that foil stamp artwork have a minimum stroke width of at least 0.5mm and at least 0.5mm spacing between foil stamp elements to avoid plugging.
To apply spot UV or deboss/emboss effect, two files are required:
1) A full color file containing all images
2) A single-color file containing only the spot-UV/deboss/emboss element as a solid-black image or text

In general we will do several rounds checks:
1) check before printing according to the hard copy sample or electronic sample
2) onsite check while the printing is in process
3) individual checks in each step like foil stamping/die-cut and etc.
4) final check of the finish product
In general, the sales specialist will send pictures or videos in each milestone stage to show how the project is in process.
As in any manufacturing process, printing and after printing manufacturing carries a small defect rate, usually under 3%. With knowing this, we usually will add extra overruns to combat the variance that may occur. The overrun items are free.
For common products like books, puzzles, cards, the CPSIA and ASTM is usually enough for products distributed in US market. These two are intended to make sure that products sold in the US were free from harmful materials. For EU market, the CE is usually required.
The materials that are used in printing today simply aren’t the kind of materials that are subject to contamination from lead, phtalates, or other dangerous compounds. So likelihood that a printed book/card would fail a test is quite low.
According to different standard, some extra information may be required to put on the product. For example, when using a poly bag, a suffocation warning is required.
For the toxicity test we will print extra items during the production and send them to a third part lab(Intertek or Eurofin). The paper and ink will be burned into their natural chemical form and tested for unwanted material. The typical testing cost is 350~450USD.
We will responsible for the material itself but will not responsible for the products information which may required by different standard.
For Amazon Sellers: when Amazon(US) require CPC, the ASTM and CPSIA testing is required to authorize a CPC. the ASTM and CPSIA testing is not free while CPC depends on the situation. The CPC could be issued by our company or by the testing lab. If the CPC is free when it’s issued by our company; when the CPC is issued by the lab, an extra cost will be required by the lab.
We usually use one 5-layer corrugated master carton to pack the items. We usually will make the package 12~15kgs so you can handle the package by individual.
Sometimes, according to requests of customers, we can also use inner&master cartons to pack the products. The inner&master carton means we put the products into a smaller carton box first then have a bigger carton box with several inner cartons inside. This method could provide better protection in the shipping from falling, however, it will also increase the packing cost and the weight of packages which may raise the logistic costs.
We will follow the packing requirement from our customers. However, we cannot provide any liabilities for potential risks which beyond the terms of forwarders. This may include the mis-operation of carrier, the falling of packages from vehicles and etc. The forwarders usually provide the coverage with some conditions of 1) loss of packages 2) damages by disasters/accidents.
If you have any forwarders/partner in China, we can send the packages to your forwarder/partner. In this situation, please specify if you need us help to do the custom clearance document. This is important because the custom clearance involves extra costs, from 50 to 250USD.
For Amazon sellers:
Some forwarders in China can’t provide Bill of Landing, in this situation we can’t do the custom clearance. Please confirm with your forwarders in advance.
Due to the pandemic and the congestions in major seaport/airport, there is no guaranteed delivery date now. This situation may be relieved when things come back to normal.
We provide some options of the international shipment:
1)Sample:
We usually use express shipment like UPS/FedEx as main method of the sample shipping. Please contact the sales specialist if you need to change the declared value of the sample.
2)Bulk order:
For traditional shipment to the destination seaport/airport, an import broker sometimes is needed to help you deal with the import procedures.
For a new shipment method, we can provide DDP shipment.
To Europe, there are DDP shipments by train/air/sea/truck
To USA/Canada, there are DDP shipments by sea/air
The DDP shipment contains two stage: 1)traditional shipment by ship/plan to the destination country 2) the local shipment by UPS/FedEx.
In a DDP shipment, the forwarder will take care of the import duties and the custom clearance.
